Volunteering in the Galapagos National Park

Telitha, our nurse, is heading off on an ultimate voluntourism trip to Galapogas Islands! From August through to October 2019, she will be volunteering her amazing nursing skills to the Darwin Animal Doctors Clinic on Santa Cruz Island in Ecuador’s Galapagos National Park. The clinic is the first full-time veterinary clinic on the island where they provide services such as desexing, parasite treatment and preventative care. The clinic provides veterinary care to pet parents who would otherwise not have access to such care, all of these services being free of charge. The clinic operates solely from the generosity of donations and volunteers. Darwin Animal Doctors also provides life-saving veterinary care to native species including birds, giant tortoises and sea-lions.
