Veterinary Nurse
Shaylee
Shaylee completed her Veterinary Nursing studies through the University of Queensland and was thrilled to officially join the team at VetCall Q Centre after her successful completion of work placement.
She has developed hands on experience across many areas of veterinary nursing, including animal handling and restraint, anaesthetic and patient monitoring, radiography, laboratory work and clinical nursing.
Known for her calm and composed nature, Shaylee works confidently in fast paced environments and is well suited to emergency situations where focus and teamwork are essential.
Prior to joining VetCall, Shaylee volunteered with the Animal Welfare League, gaining valuable experience caring for a wide range of animals. She also gained exposure to working with horses and reptiles through the practical workshops at UQ Gatton.
Having grown up surrounded by animals, Shaylee now shares her home with her labradoodle, Skyla, and her cat, Biscuit.
Shaylee is enthusiastic about continuing to expand her skills and knowledge as a veterinary nurse and is proud to be part of the VetCall team, contributing to the high standard of care provided to both patients and their owners.
